We are students. We are professionals, working artists. We are church leaders with a stake in the arts. We are friends and supporters of the artist and the arts. Together, we believe in the transformative power of art and its ability to bring beauty, dignity, and meaning to life, to both individuals and communities. We believe that God created us in his image and we have a divine charge as his image-bearers to function as sub-creators; we believe that God loves creativity. We challenge artists who are Christians to engage with the culture around them as fully integrated people, rather than hiding their faith in the art world and hiding their art in the Church. We are a community formed from many communities, from many disciplines, united around the vision of Jesus Christ to bring good news to the poor, heal the brokenhearted, and proclaim freedom to the captives.
